Description: A Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center provides daily skilled nursing to children with a medical diagnosis. Depending on the facility, the ages go from 6 weeks to the 21st birthday. PPEC services are covered by Medicaid/MCO’s and are considered part of EPSDT services with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
